Meet Simon! He came to WAG as part of a litter of 6 after spending the first two and a half months of his life in the forest on the Olympic Peninsula. As a result, Simon is still shy around people he does not know. We believe he was born around 9/23/23, and we continue to see how Simon's personality emerges and changes as he grows. While in foster care, we have learned that he is a cuddle bug with those he trusts. If you are looking for a constant companion, look no further. This sweet guy will bond tightly with his people. Because of Simon's shy nature, he needs people that will be understanding and patient with him as they train Simon to be the good dog we know he can be, and a calm environment. Due to his tendency to run when frightened, experienced dog owners are needed. We have found that Simon does require a raw diet due to a sensitive stomach. This appears to be a genetic trait of several of the forest dogs (that are relatives of Simon's) that have come to WAG.
