Mojo
AvailableMojo is a long-haired, large German Shepherd Dog living in Nashville, TN. He is a neutered senior male who has overcome significant hip issues and now gets around well. Mojo is vaccinated, house trained, and has special needs related to his hip history, requiring a home with minimal stairs. His resilience and affectionate nature make him a wonderful companion.
About Mojo
Mojo is a true survivor with a remarkable story. At 8½ years old, this long-haired male German Shepherd went through years of hardship—he and his mom were abandoned and left to fend for themselves, barely surviving. When Mojo arrived in 2024, he could barely walk due to severe hip issues. After two extensive hip surgeries, his resilience shone through and today, Mojo runs, plays, and seems determined to make every moment count. He is genuinely affectionate, gentle, and forms strong bonds with his people. Mojo is wonderful with respectful dogs but needs companions who understand his physical limits—no roughhousing or body slamming, given his surgical history. Kids over age 10 who know how to treat a dog kindly would be a great fit. Cats and small animals are not an option for Mojo, as his prey drive is strong. He is housebroken, polite, knows how to settle, and enjoys the comforts of home life. For Mojo, a home with a securely fenced yard and minimal stairs is key, as he moves well but should avoid too much stair climbing. If you want a devoted, soulful partner who’s overcome a tough past and is ready for happiness, Mojo could be the one. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Mojo
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
German Shepherds like Mojo thrive in homes with space to move and play, ideally with a securely fenced yard. They enjoy being part of an active household and appreciate time spent with their family.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Mojo, as a German Shepherd, benefits from a decent outdoor area, such as a yard, where he can move safely. Regular walks and play sessions are important, but excessive running isn't ideal after hip surgeries.
