Ruby is a 3½ year old Lab/Great Pyrenees mix with star quality and absolutely no interest in pretending otherwise. She is fantastic with all people. Truly top tier. She loves humans, thrives on attention, and fully expects to be admired, praised, and told she is a very good girl, frequently and with treats involved. She is not wrong. With other dogs, Ruby is at best selective. She is a bit of a diva and prefers a very small, very exclusive social circle. Most dogs will not make the cut, and that is fine with her. Cats are also a hard no, as they are clearly designed to be chased. Because of this, Ruby would do best as the only pet. For those that just want one dog, this is the dog. In the home, Ruby is excellent. She is calm, settled, and deeply committed to sofa life. What she wants is simple: a couch of her own, people who adore her, a steady supply of snacks, and regular verbal confirmation that she is doing an amazing job at being Ruby. She loves hikes, playing with her toys and I suspect, but cannot prove, she will love the water. A securely fenced yard is required, ideally one with squirrels to supervise and run out of the yard. Ruby is not asking for much. Just a comfortable home, devoted humans, and a lifestyle that reflects her importance.
