About Lando
Lando, an 8-month-old male pitty mix, started out at Chicago Animal Care & Control with his sister, overwhelmed and trying his best to vanish into the background. So scared at first he had to be wheeled out of his kennel, he just needed someone to hit the pause button on the world for a beat. Given some space and comfort, Lando flipped a switch in foster care: turning sociable, bright, and eager for connection. He thrives around other dogs, picks up on the rhythm of daily life, and enjoys being around kids—showing that, at heart, he's all about being part of the family. Lando does best with other dogs around him and needs a friendly, lively household to truly come out of his shell. He’s still a big softy, but has grown into a confident, loving companion who brings warmth to everyone around him. Lando is the kind of dog that quietly shifts a home’s energy into something lighter, reminding his people what real companionship means. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
