"I met Mac on Jan 9th during an evening volunteer shift—-a timid unsure girl in a loud overcrowded shelter—found as a stray in Chicago’s westside on Jan 4th. I would visit her at her kennel every time I was there & walked her when it was her turn. I had fellow volunteers check on her. I watched her come out of her shell over those 38 days that she was homeless. Day 38 I got to do her last official walk at CACC—Day 38 she joined our pack. Mac is magical perfection in a small package. Her eyes speak to your soul & her gentle loving nature is calming. Loyal, affectionate, smart & eager to learn more. She loves walks, belly rubs, self entertaining with toys, her foster brother Samuel, evening training sessions, snuffle mats & cuddly naps on top of you.
