Hi, I’m Missy Jane I’m a gentle soul with a past that hasn’t always been easy, but my heart has always been kind. When I was first found, I was very skittish and would run away if a human came anywhere near me. I was scared, unsure, and trying to survive on my own. Even after I was safely caught with a trap, I was still afraid—but I was never aggressive. Once I realized no one was going to hurt me, my sweet side started to show. I was very skinny, with dirt caked on my side and my ears all cut up—most likely from barbed wire as I ran through fields and yards trying to stay safe. Other than that, I had no serious injuries, and with care, food, and patience, I slowly began to heal both inside and out. Since being at the facility, I’ve truly come out of my shell. I’ve been wonderful with staff and volunteers and have shown everyone just how loving and gentle I really am. I’m super chill on my walks and calm in the play yards—I’m not wild or overwhelming, just happy to be included and feel safe. What I need now is a home where I can decompress, feel supported, and continue building confidence with someone who understands that trust takes time. With consistency, kindness, and love, I know I’ll continue to blossom into the amazing companion I’m meant to be.
