About Smiley Wiley
Meet Smiley Wiley, a gentle 4-year-old looking for a second shot at a peaceful forever home. After spending two years with a family, he returned to rescue through no fault of his own—he just had trouble keeping up once the household grew louder and busier. When things got hectic, Smiley found comfort in quiet corners, showing how much he craves calm and predictability. Smiley has a very timid, sensitive nature. He deals with some separation anxiety, which is now being supported with structure and medication. The changes are already helping, and patience makes all the difference with him. While shy, Smiley does well with other dogs and has done well around children. He’s best suited for a quieter home with older, gentler kids who respect his need for space. He gets along with other dogs but not with cats. What stands out most: he’s never shown a hint of aggression, just softness and sweetness—even when he’s uncertain. A home that honors Smiley Wiley’s pace, celebrates the small steps forward, and provides safety and stability will help this tender soul thrive again. If you believe in second chances and want to welcome a shy, big-hearted dog, Smiley Wiley could be exactly who you’re looking for. Click apply to start the adoption process.
