About Ranger
Ranger started life with a rough break, found as a newborn in the middle of the road, umbilical cord still attached. Thanks to some quick action and a nurturing foster setup, he pulled through his earliest days. Adopted as a pup, Rangerās now back with rescue after his family could no longer keep him. At about 2 years old, heās settled into a fun, lively routine. Ranger is a lean, sweet Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees mixābeautiful coat, athletic, and smart. Heās full of playful energy, loves fetch (especially with other dogs), and does a signature ācorn cobā nibble on toys rather than tear them up. Heās friendly with new people, good in the car, and sleeps well whether you want him on the bed or in a crate. Ranger is house trained and knows several basic commands, though leash work is a project in progress. He does have a habit of snatching food off the counter if you leave it within reach! He gets along well with other dogs, but given his size and energy level, rescue requires his adopters to have a securely fenced yard, no kids under 12, and a solid vet reference. Heās neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Adoptable from Little Rock, AR, with transport available to MO, IL, IA, KS, NE, and AR. Questions about Ranger
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Ranger, being an Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix, does best in a home with a secure, spacious yard. Rural or suburban environments that allow for exercise and mental stimulation suit him well.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Ranger's breeds thrive with plenty of outdoor space; a large, fenced yard is ideal to let him stretch his legs and satisfy his natural instincts.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Ranger is best placed in homes with older children (12+), as these breeds can be large and strong, making them less suited for small kids.
