At about 4 years old, I’m very affectionate and emotionally connected to my humans. I love snuggling, staying close, and giving hugs (yes, real hugs — I like to stand up and gently wrap my paws around your waist). When I feel safe and loved, I give my whole heart. I need to be honest though: I do best as the only dog in the home. I’ve shown fear-based reactivity with other dogs, especially when play gets too rough. It’s not that I want to be mean — I get overwhelmed and scared. A calm home where I don’t have to worry about other dogs would help me finally relax and feel secure. With people, I’m incredibly loving. I’m a bit apprehensive by nature and need reassurance, but once I trust you, I’ll stick to you like Velcro.
