About Sally
Meet Sally, a gentle soul who’s finally getting her break after a tough 12 years. This purebred Cocker Spaniel spent a lifetime neglected and overbred by a backyard breeder, only to wind up blind and surrendered with over 20 other dogs. Now, she’s safe, and her recent bloodwork is looking up after initial fears she was hospice only. Sally will have surgery soon to remove her painful eyes, with the cost covered by the rescue. Sally wears diapers for practical reasons—her blindness sometimes makes it hard to know where she’s at, so she needs regular potty breaks. She doesn’t mind them, and takes it in stride. Despite her bleak past, Sally is unfailingly sweet and gentle, and—miraculously—gets along well with all other dogs, cats, and kids. She needs a calm home with someone patient, preferably familiar with the needs of senior dogs or blind pups. Keep the furniture in place, let her adjust at her own pace (she learns fast), and give her the steady environment she craves. Sally just wants peace, kindness, and someone willing to love her as she is. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
