Portia used to be known as “Porch Kitty” when she lived outside, quietly hoping someone would notice her need for affection. Since moving to Furball, she’s discovered warmth, safety, and a new sense of belonging. She’s still a bit hesitant in new situations and will hide while she gets her bearings—her family must be patient, understanding, and willing to give her space and time. The way to her heart? Food and a gentle approach work wonders. Once Portia feels safe, the transformation is obvious: she loves belly rubs, gives gentle licks as signs of gratitude, and enjoys hanging out on a perch, watching the world go by. She genuinely thrives around other cats, so she needs a kitty friend to help her feel secure—solo living isn’t for Portia. She’s meticulous with her litter box and well-adjusted indoors. Her future family needs to know she’ll take time to settle and hiding should be expected at first, but patience pays off in sweet affection and trust. Portia is fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, negative for FIV and FeLV, up to date on all her vaccinations, and treated for parasites. She’s strictly an indoor cat. No declawing.
