About Simon
Hi… I’m Simon! And to say I’m adorable? Yeah… that’s a bit of an understatement. I didn’t always feel this confident. When I first came here, I was very afraid. I didn’t trust people, I didn’t want to be seen, and I definitely didn’t want to be touched. But with lots of time, patience, gentle love, and (let’s be honest) food, my heart slowly cracked open. Now? I’m a total sweetheart who just needed someone to believe in me. My future family should know that change is still hard for me. When I move into a new home, I’ll likely hide at first and feel scared. That’s just part of my process. Give me time, let me go at my own pace, and I promise you’ll get to see the real me shine through. These days, I love people. I’ll meow loud and proud to let you know I want attention and once you start petting me, I soak it all in. Being held isn’t quite my thing yet, but who knows what the future holds? I’m always growing. One important note: I love swirling around your legs. If you’re worried about tripping hazards, I might keep you on your toes. I also absolutely adore other cats and love snuggling up with them, so I’d do best in a home with a feline friend. I’m playful, energetic, and young at heart. Toys are a must, catnip is a personal favorite, and treat time? Non-negotiable. That will definitely need to be part of my daily routine. You can come visit me daily from 1–5pm to see if I’m meant to be part of your family. I may take a little time, but I’m so worth it. I have excellent litter box habits. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat. I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing.
