About Lincoln
Lincoln, or Link as his foster family calls him, is a five-month-old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler who bounds through life with the classic gusto of his breed. After being surrendered in Georgia, he’s now adjusting to foster life up north in Pennsylvania, where winter is just another playground for him. Link lives for play—whether it’s trying to get the older cattle dog to rumble, charming his foster sister for snuggles, or herding the household kids with a wag and a bark. He’s smart and learns lightning fast, already picking up commands like sit, down, come, and even 'go potty.' Potty training is coming along well with structure and routine. He is very much the social type and generally gets along well with other dogs. Around children, Link is energetic but affectionate, so those with little ones should be mindful of his herding instincts and playful chasing. He’s house trained for his age and is doing well in his crate for short stints, especially if treats are at stake. While his energy level is high, he’s also a cuddler when things wind down. Link is up to date on vaccines and will go to his new home with a neuter contract. Anyone considering him should be excited for training, exercise, and keeping his sharp mind busy—maybe even consider dog sports. Lincoln would thrive in an active, attentive household ready for both the joys and the focus a young cattle dog brings.
