About Poppy

Poppy is a 6-month-old with a soft spot for both adventure and downtime. After being rescued from a puppy mill along with her siblings, she’s blossomed into the kind of companion who thrives on family life and can’t resist tagging along, room to room. At around 40 pounds, she’s got enough size and energy to light up a yard game but settles in happily for a nap on the couch after. This unique mix of Golden Retriever, Labrador, Cattle Dog, and Sheepdog brings together intelligence and loyalty in one affectionate package. Poppy is housebroken, crate trained, and sleeps through the night. She gets along well with other dogs and older kids, loves playing fetch, and lives for both play and snuggles. Expect puppy quirks—she's still a bit mouthy, and her greeting can be enthusiastic enough to put her nose right at table height. Because of her gait and youthful jumps, homes with only older children fit her best. She’s sweet, people-oriented, and always seems to search for human connection. Poppy is being fostered in Villanova, PA but ready to meet her new family in Philadelphia. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
