Rowan is a fun-loving Chow who lives life with enthusiasm. He adores toys (especially anything with fluff to pull), keeps a watchful eye on squirrels, and has the cutest habit of ducking under your legs to rub his head and back — especially when he's feeling excited or a little unsure. It's his version of checking in and asking for reassurance. He enjoys other dogs and loves to play, but he plays like a Chow — enthusiastic and sometimes mouthy. Because of that, Rowan will do best with dog-savvy humans and canine companions who are tolerant of playful tail- and ear-grabbing. He's still polishing his social skills, and continued training will help him channel all that joy in the best ways. Rowan is looking for a home with Chow experience, a fenced yard where he can roam and explore, and a calm, capable household without young children, cats, or folks who might be unsteady during energetic play.
