About Coco
A foster-to-adopt option is available for Coco, offering a way for her potential adopter to build trust and confidence at their own pace. Coco came from St. Thomas, arriving at the rescue while pregnant, and raised six healthy puppies. Now her mothering days are done, she's looking for a quiet, patient home where she can settle in for good. Coco is still getting used to people—timid and always alert, she remains a flight risk, so she'll need a secure fenced yard. Walking on leash is a work in progress, but she manages slowly. Having a confident dog companion will help Coco adjust; she tends to follow another dog’s lead and will need someone to show her that life can be safe and calm. For now, Coco needs a home without young children and an adopter experienced with fearful, under-socialized dogs willing to take it slow. She is heartworm positive; Furkids will provide her treatment, removing a worry from her adopter’s shoulders. At just 19 lbs, spayed, microchipped, and current on preventative care, Coco is ready to start her next chapter with someone who gets it. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
