About Reed
Meet Reed, a very special boy looking for a very special home. Reed is a 6 month old Australian Cattle Dog mix with a heart that’s bigger than his paws. This sweet, loving canine is in need of a medical foster or adopter who can give him the chance he truly deserves. Reed is suspected to have a genetic neurological condition. He has a wobbly walk and is on medication to help prevent seizures. The medication has successfully reduced his seizure episodes! Due to this condition, he’ll need medication twice a day and someone who can offer patience, understanding, and lots of love. Despite his challenges, Reed is still very much a puppy at heart: - High energy - Absolutely adores his stuffies - Incredibly affectionate and people-loving He doesn’t let his diagnosis define him - he just wants to play, cuddle, and be loved. Reed has so much joy to give and a huge heart he’s ready to share… he just needs someone willing to give him a chance. If you’ve ever considered being a medical foster or opening your home to a dog who will love you endlessly, Reed could be your boy. Fostering with us is 100% FREE - we provide all needed food and supplies! Stop by the shelter at 3161 W. Norton Road or call us at 417-833-2526 to learn more about how you can be Reed's hero. At the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri, our goal is to match potential adopters with a pet that is best suited to their home, interests, and lifestyle.
