About Dobbie
Life is always brighter with Dobbie around. Dobbie is a 3½-year-old, 62-pound dynamo with lots of energy and smarts who’s ready to find his home after some time on his own. He’s house-broken, crate-trained, leash-trained, and already knows sit, fetch, and stay (though nobody’s perfect). Using a doggie door is second nature to him. What Dobbie truly loves is having clear structure, regular praise, and plenty of play, especially racing around a secure yard chasing after his favorite ball. For Dobbie, a home with a privacy-fenced yard is non-negotiable—he needs space to run and burn off steam. This boy does best as an only dog or living with a friendly female; male dogs are not his style. With small children or small dogs, Dobbie’s high-spirited herding drive can be a bit much, so he’d fit best without them. If you’re looking for a close companion, Dobbie is glued to your side and never shy with affection—he wants to be part of your pack in every way. Toys and ropes are his jam, as long as the games stay upbeat (tug-of-war is overrated in his book). Dobbie is active, loyal, and brings a ton of joy to the right person or family. If you’re willing to offer structure, time, and partnership, Dobbie could be the high-energy, happy sidekick you need. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Dobbie
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Dobbie’s breed mix, including Cattle Dog and Blue Heeler, prefers homes with active families and plenty of structure. He thrives in an environment where he can get both mental and physical stimulation.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Cattle Dog mixes like Dobbie need a yard with enough room to run and play, ideally fenced for safety. Access to outdoor space is important for his energy level.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Dobbie’s herding instincts mean he is best in a home without small children, as his energy and play style may be overwhelming for them. Older kids who understand boundaries do better with this breed.
