About Harry
Harry is just over 4 years old and tips the scales at about 52 pounds. This hound mix landed at the shelter with a whole group of hounds and even found a home in 2023 with his friend Zach. Life threw a curveball, and Harry found himself back at the shelter in October 2025 as the dogs needed another shot at a safe new beginning. He is classic hound—lively, highly expressive, and not shy about letting you know what he thinks. Harry communicates enthusiastically, especially when he’s excited or curious, and thrives outdoors with room to roam and sniff to his heart’s content. Structure and routine help him settle, and he’ll do best with an adopter who knows and appreciates hound quirks, understands big personalities, and is ready to provide clear guidance. He’s great with people and craves interaction. Harry has done well with dogs (meet-and-greet recommended) and has lived with cats. County walks, plenty of outside time, and a family that enjoys a chatty companion are his recipe for happiness. He is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated (including rabies), on monthly preventatives, and under treatment for Lyme disease. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
