AvailableTheo
AvailableTheo is a male mixed Border Collie and Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler, adult in age, and a medium size. He is neutered and waiting for a forever home in Warrenton, OR.
About Theo
Theo is not your typical companion—he started off as nearly feral, totally unsure about human contact. Volunteers have invested real time and patience to help Theo get used to people, and he’s made progress, but he’ll probably never be a lap dog. What Theo does love is other dogs; he thrives in playgroups several times every week and feels at ease around canine friends. If you’re thinking of opening your home to a gentle soul who would rather have a yard and some four-legged buddies than constant hugs, Theo could be a great fit. He’s waiting for someone who can see the value in his quiet companionship and is willing to continue building trust at his pace. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Theo
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Theo’s breeds, Border Collie and Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler, generally do best in homes with access to outdoor space and owners who understand the needs of active, intelligent working dogs. A quiet, patient household would be ideal for Theo, especially one with other dogs.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Theo’s mix thrives on having plenty of room to run, play, and explore safely, ideally in a securely-fenced yard or regular access to open outdoor areas.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Border Collies and Heelers can be good with children if properly socialized, but since Theo is shy and prefers canine company, he’ll be best with older kids or families who give him space.
