About Stuey
Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Meet Stuey, a 7-year-old, fully vetted Corgi/Border Collie mix male searching for his forever family. Stuey weighs about 40 lbs and is currently working toward a slimmer, healthier weight by aiming to shed 10–15 lbs. This affectionate and super smart boy is friendly, always eager to snuggle, and displays a moderate energy level that fits seamlessly into everyday life. Stuey loves to go on walks, car rides, and has a blast with any toy—fetch and catch are particular favorites! He's especially good with gentle, older dogs but would be content as the only dog as well. Although his compatibility with cats is untested, his gentle nature shines in a household with adults or children over 10. He tends to prefer the company of ladies, though calm, patient men also win his trust. Equipped with basic obedience, Stuey is highly food motivated, craves learning new things, and is crate, leash, and house trained. He's an ideal candidate for dog sports like agility or frisbee, thanks to his eager-to-please attitude and intense focus. Stuey would thrive in a single-family home with a fenced yard, so apartment living wouldn’t be the best fit. He is available for adoption in Texas and the Northeast. Questions about Stuey
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Border Collie/Corgi mixes generally thrive in homes with a yard or access to outdoor space, as they are active and intelligent dogs. They do best in single-family residences rather than apartments.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
This mix benefits from a fenced yard where they can run and play, as well as frequent walks and interactive outdoor activities. While they can adapt to smaller spaces if exercised, they prefer ample room to move around.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Both Border Collies and Corgis are known to be good with respectful children, making the mix suitable for homes with older kids, especially those who understand how to interact gently with dogs.
