About Montana
Montana is an affectionate four-year-old Lab/Pit mix who’s ready to be your loyal companion for life. Playtime is her favorite part of the day—she lives for fetch and is always eager to chase down a tennis ball. Montana is both treat and toy motivated, making her quick to learn and eager to please. She gets along with other dogs, but her real focus is people; she’d love to be your top play partner. On outings, Montana is a calm car passenger and enjoys being a trail buddy, happily taking in all the scents and leading the way without tugging on her leash. New faces can make her a bit shy at first, but she warms up quickly with time and patience—especially if snacks are involved. Once she trusts, she’s all about gentle petting and cuddles. Shelter life has been tough on Montana, which makes her uneasy around lots of unfamiliar people, especially in her kennel. She may ask for space with a growl or a show of teeth, but outside that environment her personality is sweet, playful, and loving. She needs a calm, patient home where she can decompress and rebuild confidence in her own time. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!
