About Violet

Meet Opra! She’s back at the shelter because her last home wasn’t the right fit. Opra thrives on human companionship, and being left alone all day was tough for her. She’d do best in a home where someone is around more often, or with someone dedicated to helping her build confidence. With the right support, she can learn that being alone isn’t so scary. Opra prefers to be the only pet, as she has shown some resource guarding behavior with food around other dogs. However, she has been good with other dogs while supervised in the past. Her journey started off rough; she was found abandoned with her littermates, which contributed to some of her current habits. Despite that, she’s incredibly smart and loves training! Opra knows commands like sit, down, and stay, and she’s always eager to learn more. If you invest time and patience, you’ll gain a devoted friend who will love her humans wholeheartedly.
