Duke is a handsome, one-and-a-half-year-old mixed-breed dog with a tricolor coat and a big heart. Heās full of energy and always ready for a good romp, whether itās on a hiking trail or just chasing toys in the yard. Cuddling is high up on his list of favorite things, tooāhe appreciates a gentle touch and seeks out affection from the people he trusts. He came from a loving home, but his early life didnāt include much exposure to training or the unfamiliar. As a result, new situations can sometimes make him anxious. The silver lining is that Duke is quick to learn and noticeably eager to please. Heās currently in a board-and-train program, building confidence and practicing positive social skills around both new people and other dogs. Duke is house trained, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and heāll come with a training session to help set his adopters up for success. He needs a patient, committed home that will keep working with him as he grows into a more relaxed and confident companion.
