Pandora is a striking, long-legged sighthound mix with a joyful spirit and a playful streak. Her broad, warm smile and relaxed charm have made her a favorite with both volunteers and staff. Rescued from a South Korean shelter, Pandora brings an incredible genetic mix of mostly Greyhound with notable swirls of Irish Wolfhound and Borzoi. Her golden coat is a bit fuzzier than a typical greyhound, and she carries plenty of strength for her medium size. Pandora adores people—she thrives on attention and doesn’t hesitate to show affection, whether she’s bounding across a grassy yard or lounging peacefully after playtime. She loves tossing her own toys and keeping busy but isn’t clingy. Pandora’s independent streak means she’s content to amuse herself when you’re occupied. House manners come naturally to her, and she tends to keep her kennel in order. Barking is rare. Bright and eager to learn, Pandora delights in working with people and is always ready for a training session. However, she cannot live with cats or small animals, and isn’t suited for homes with dogs, especially unfamiliar ones. She’s cordial when handled carefully but is reactive around strange dogs; her trainer has already made progress, and her adoption comes with four private training sessions to help new owners continue that work. Pandora will do best in a quiet home with an experienced dog owner and access to a large, securely fenced yard. She’s fine solo or with older, dog-savvy children, but homes with young kids aren’t the right fit given her size and energy. Apartments, townhomes, or busy neighborhoods aren't her scene. She’ll shine with people who enjoy peaceful outdoor adventures away from crowds. Pandora walks nicely on leash in calm spots and is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
