About Gamora

Make their next chapter their best one yet. Gamora (affectionately known as Lady) is a 7-year-old female German Shepherd who is adjusting beautifully to foster care after a lifetime in one loving home. This medium-coated, black and tan beauty thrives on companionship—she adores being close to her people and establishes strong, heartfelt bonds. Lady is fully house trained and is an excellent car companion, hopping in with ease and settling in for the ride. She's a smart girl who knows basic commands like sit and down, and she has proven her agility time and again. In her previous home, Lady lived harmoniously with two other dogs and now shares her foster home with three adult German Shepherds, displaying a calm, neutral attitude toward her foster siblings while remembering the deep bonds she formed with her earlier companions. While Lady’s past didn’t involve much exposure to outings, she is learning the ropes of leash walking—though she’s strong and still working on not pulling, her progress is steady as her foster family continues to guide her. Lady isn’t crate trained yet, but she is slowly getting accustomed to it. She will thrive in a quieter setting where her humans are home more often than not, making her a wonderful fit for a calm adult household or families with older, dog-savvy children. Busy homes with young kids may not be ideal for her calm disposition. Lady's experience with cats has been positive; she's lived briefly with visiting cats and now, having met a barn cat at her foster home, showed no aggression—she actually appeared a bit wary of the cat. With her gentle nature, she could do well in a home with a confident, dog-savvy cat. As she continues to settle into her foster environment (she arrived on December 29), her endearing personality comes through more each day. Fun fact: with a birthday of December 27th, Lady is a Capricorn—meaning she’s likely steadfast, loyal, and always there for you! Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
