Loki
AvailableLoki is a young, medium-sized German Shepherd mix living in Jefferson City, MO. He is neutered, house trained, and up to date on vaccinations. Loki gets along with both dogs and cats, making him a good fit for a multi-pet home. He warms up to people quickly once he feels comfortable and is eager for affection.
About Loki
Loki is still figuring out what it means to feel safe and at home. He starts off a bit nervous, but once he realizes someone means him well, he softens fast and wants to be right beside you. Loki clings to his person and craves their company, a true velcro dog who is seeking the comfort he never got before. He hasn’t had much practice living indoors. The idea of being contained, even by a privacy fence, is new; he’ll need leash walks until he fully trusts that he’s safe. Loki spent a long stretch fending for himself outdoors, so he’s still learning what’s expected in a home. Short fences are not a real barrier for him just yet—he doesn’t jump them to run away, but out of pure unfamiliarity with boundaries. Over time, he’ll settle in as he bonds with his person. He’s picking up crate routines and trying hard, but needs time and encouragement to get comfortable at his own speed. Loki does get anxious when left alone, so stability and reassurance go a long way with him. He meets new people calmly, is gentle to handle, and lets you do whatever care he needs. Loki is sweet, quiet, and ready to show someone who’s patient that he can be a loyal, loving companion. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
