Meet sweet Belle! Belle is an approximate 8-year old, 22-pound Poodle mix that was picked up as a stray in San Antonio. When Belle first came into her foster's home, she was very timid and spent most of her time in her crate decompressing. Noises were very startling, but she was never afraid of people or the foster's two dogs. Belle is heartworm positive and needed some major dental work after she was rescued and had to have 27 teeth extracted. She has already started the heartworm treatment and once she was feeling better, she really started to come out of her shell! Belle has the sweetest and most gentle personality. She has quickly learned that the couch is the best spot in the house! She is a very laid back and calm dog, but now gets excited when people come near her. She even prances and hops when she gets excited for attention. And if you stop petting her and she is not satisfied, she will gently pull your hand back for more scratches! She immediately became part of the foster's crew. She does great with other dogs with her energy, children, men, and women. She appears to be fully housebroken, and crate trained. She loves treats and is very smart, so she is working on learning some basic commands like sit and stay. Belle is very quiet - we have yet to hear her bark! She is so low key and deserves a forever family of her own that will give her love, treats, and a comfy couch and blankets to sleep on. Belle lost 22 teeth at her dental and received Proheart 12 for her heartworm disease. She will need to be retested in 6 months and if positive, the rescue will pay for another proheart treatment. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs.
