Looking for my forever cuddle buddy — preferably someone with a couch, a gentle voice, and plenty of time for pets. 💕 I’m Chickadee, a 4 year-old, 35 pound black Labrador Retriever mix with a playful heart, a smart brain, and a very snuggly personality. I’m house-trained and crate-trained, and I’m working hard on my leash skills. I love to play, especially with other dogs, and after I get my energy out, I’m happiest crashing on the couch right next to you while you tell me I’m a good girl. Pleasing my people is my favorite job. New situations make me a little unsure at first, but give me a moment and I’ll warm up quickly — especially if you’re kind, patient, and nearby. I like being close to my humans and getting their attention. I’m not a “love from across the room” kind of dog — I’m a “right next to you, maybe touching you” kind of dog. My crate is my safe place when I feel nervous, but I don’t love being left alone in it. I could live happily in a home with a fenced yard or even an apartment, as long as I get to play, cuddle, and be part of your everyday life. I’m sweet, loyal, affectionate, and full of gentle love just waiting to be given.
