About Poncho
Poncho is a striking 2-year-old Pomsky weighing around 17 pounds, and his entire life until now was spent as a breeding dog in a rabbit hutch. The world is still a pretty intimidating place for him, but he’s starting to realize that people offer love (and plenty of scratches). He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys freedom in the yard, though he’s still working on basic leash skills and relies on a fenced yard for safety. Poncho needs a calm, patient adopter who will give him time to adjust. He is on anxiety medication as he finds his feet in this new life—so his new home should be ready to keep supporting him through that transition. He’s house trained with consistent breaks but still learning, so accidents might happen. Poncho is notably sweeter with women and tends to gravitate toward them, though he is curious about men in the household and may warm up slowly. He’d thrive in a home with other dogs and gentle encouragement. Give this beautiful, gentle Pomsky a shot at the good life. Start your journey together! Apply now.

Questions about Poncho
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Poncho is a Pomsky, a mix of Pomeranian and Husky, who does best in a home with space for play but also quiet spots for decompressing. He’ll appreciate a fenced yard and a calm, supportive environment.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
While Pomskies like Poncho are small, they’re active and enjoy regular playtime outdoors. A securely fenced yard works well, especially as Poncho is still learning about leashes.
