About Graham
Graham is a brown, short-coated pit bull mix who’s spent far too long waiting for the right person. He’s about 4 years old and was found as a stray, so he came to the rescue a little unsure, but over the past year, it’s clear what matters to him—play, connection to his people, and some patience to help settle initial nerves. Graham flourishes in a home setting; during overnight visits, he’s house trained, sleeps well, and adapts quickly. He craves affection and thinks he’s much smaller than his 60-pound frame suggests, happy to crawl into a lap whenever possible. Graham does not get along with cats or young kids, so he’s seeking an adult, cat-free home. Shelter life leaves him stressed, but he’s opening up everyday with dedicated volunteer trainers. Outings to parks or stores are his favorite and he’s learned leash manners, “leave it,” and other essential skills. He’s active and needs a yard or space to burn off energy and put his athleticism to use. An adopter comfortable with big, enthusiastic dogs, ready to keep up training, will get a funny, loving, eager companion. Graham needs patience at first but rewards it with deep loyalty and affection. Graham is in Mokena, IL and ready to find a real home. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
