Meet Canelo This beautiful 5 year old pittie/border collie mix is on the search for his perfect home! Canelo is a great boy who is very eager to please and gentle as well! He loves to meet new people, but is not a fan of kiddos as they make him nervous. Canelo likes to go on walks and play fetch. He is very smart and bonds sincerely with his people. He is a complete love and will bring joy to anyone who is lucky enough to call him their new family member. The NAWS Dog Adoption Program operates as a rescue versus a shelter. We believe in matching the right dog with the appropriate family based on each specific dog or family's needs. To achieve this, we believe in spending the appropriate amount of time with each family to allow for enough interaction time with potential adopters. This cannot be achieved if people stop by unexpectedly to meet our dogs.
