About Bugsy
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Meet Bugsy! Bugsy’s journey is one for the storybooks. She made quite the impression when a group of good samaritans spotted her sunbathing so peacefully in a neighborhood pile of crunchy leaves, they thought she had passed on. To everyone’s relief, Bugsy lifted her head, gave a big stretch, and showed she was simply enjoying a well-earned nap. After weeks of wandering, Bugsy finally found safety with a shelter and then a loving foster home. At five years old, Bugsy carries her charming name and adorable floppy ears with pride, bringing the spirit of “Bugsy Maroon” to life in a much cuddlier form. Having spent her past being used for breeding, she’s ready for a new chapter filled with affection. This gentle soul loves to be the center of attention—if you’re not giving her love, she might playfully swipe your things for a game of chase. Initially spirited and mouthy, Bugsy has blossomed with training and now knows how to sit, shake, lay down, and come when called. She’s proven herself as both leash and crate trained, and even gets along with cats after learning they’re friends, not chew toys. Bugsy is smitten with children, although her excitement can sometimes get the best of her, but she’s continually learning. What stands out most is her incredible ability to make everyone around her grin—her playful, affectionate nature makes each day brighter. All Bugsy needs now is a forever home where she can enjoy love, comfort, and a nap in a warm spot—never a street or a pile of leaves again. Could you be the hero of her happy ending? Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
