Velveeta is a 3-4 year old English Coonhound girl waiting in the Williamsburg area for a new home. This sweet girl is a certified couch potato. She is incredibly happy to spend the entire day snoozing on the couch. Bonus points if a human or other canine companion is at her side! The world outside, however, is still a little scary for her. New sounds, open spaces, and unfamiliar situations make her quite nervous, so she will need some love and patience while she builds confidence. Slow, gentle exposure and lots of reassurance will be key to helping her feel more secure. She is dog-friendly and may benefit from a confident, yet laid-back canine friend to show her the world isn't such a scary place. She is not interested in cats. In good weight at 52 lbs, she is cratetrained and doing very well with housetraining. Velveeta is looking for a peaceful, loving home that values a quiet companion and is willing to meet her where she is.
