Here is what would work best for me in my new home: -Personality: Timid/shy but learning to trust, playful, curious, affectionate -Can Live with Kids: Because Lenny is fearful and can be so sensitive to commotion, we're recommending he go to a home with no young kids (ages 14+ would likely be best.) -Can Live with Cats: Unknown history, should be fine with slow, supervised intro. -Can Live with Dogs: Yes, another social dog to help show him the ropes would be great! -Can do Apartment Living: Not recommended- Lenny can be a bit of a Nervous Nellie and would likely be very easily overwhelmed by apartment life. A home with a fenced yard would be great! -Potty Trained: Appears to be! -Bite History: No -Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Not required but would definitely be very beneficial! -Energy Level: Medium/high -Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Neuter/microchip -Additional Information: Lenny is a slightly undersocialized pup who's come a LONG way since he first arrived. Brought to shelter after being found stray, Lenny was emaciated, in poor physical condition, and incredibly fearful. While he can still be nervous in new situations, he's made leaps and bounds from the pup he once was-- he has a whole bunch of new friends and actively solicits attention and engages with people all on his own. While he still has lots to learn, he's made a ton of progress and will only continue to blossom once out of the shelter and settled into his new family. Lenny's ideal home is calm/low-traffic, with patient, dog-experienced humans who can continue his training and go slow while he adjusts to the world around him. He's very food motivated and easily encouraged by treats and an embarrassing amount of baby talk :)
