Shirley (dob 03/2023) was transferred from another shelter where she was in Foster Care. Unable to keep Shirley any longer, she came to Safe Haven in May 2024. Shirley is a beautiful, quiet feline who enjoys the simple pleasures in life like basking in the sunshine. She gets along with the other cats in the room but is happy on her own. She would do best with an adopter who has experience with shy or reserved cats and is willing to invest time in the socialization process. Like many shy cats coming from a shelter there is an adjustment period and Shirley requires patience and understanding, allowing her to blossom at her own pace. The rewards of rescuing and nurturing a cat like cat Shirley are immeasurable. Dedicated socializers at Safe Haven have already worked with Shirley over many hours to prepare her for adoption. Shirley would do well in a quiet home with adults where she can be the sole focus of her owner's affection, or with another cat she is already friendly with from our shelter, or with an existing calm and quiet cat that welcomes a new friend.
