Kelso’s story breaks our hearts and makes us angry all at once. He was adopted as a puppy—what we thought was a happy foster fail—until we received a phone call just before Christmas that he had been dumped at a veterinary clinic. We immediately went to get him. Despite all he’s been through, Kelso is an amazing dog. He has lived successfully with a young child, other dogs, and even chickens. He is house-trained and kennel-trained, walks beautifully on leash, is easygoing, and truly loves everyone he meets. Kelso knows his basic commands and is a joy to have around. Kelso enjoys walks, relaxing inside or outside, and most of all, being with his people. He’s not demanding—he just wants a family who will love him and never abandon him again. Kelso is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He’s ready for a forever home that will finally keep its promise to him.
