Oh my goodness, where do we even begin with this girl? Everyone who meets Megan Fox falls head over heels almost instantly. She is the perfect size. Not too big and not too small. Megan is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Megan is as sweet as they come. She has that youthful sparkle, that playful curiosity, and that irresistible movie star face that makes you want to scoop her up and tell her she’s perfect (because she kind of is). She loves deeply and wholeheartedly and once she bonds with you, you suddenly have a built-in adventure buddy, professional couch snuggler, and the newest star of your camera roll. One of our favorite things about this girl is the way she looks up at you with those soulful eyes of hers and the way she gives kisses. Ever heard the phrase “corn cob”? If not, it’s when a dog turns into an enthusiastic typewriter with their little front teefers like they are trying to eat an invisible ear of corn right off of you. It feels more like a tickly, rapid-fire love taps almost as if they are saying, “excuse me, I must nibble this immediately…it is very important…thank you.” That is what kisses with Megan feels like LOL. Hard to explain until you truly experience it. She may be a little shy when meeting new people or stepping into new environments, but give her just a few minutes and you’ll see her blossom. Before you know it, she’s handing out kisses and leaning into you for affection. When it comes to other dogs, Megan is a social butterfly and is currently fostered in a home with six other female dogs, and has even gone to doggy daycare. She has participated in playgroups with dogs of all sizes and personalities and absolutely thrives in that setting. A good game of chase is one of her absolute favorites, especially when her dog friends are right there running alongside her. She has formed the sweetest bond with one of her foster siblings, and they have the best time playing together and enjoying each other’s company. Megan shares toys kindly and even shares affection without a fuss. She’s not all about play all the time either. She appreciates calmer, relaxing moments and does a great job at matching the energy around her. While she’d be happy as your one-and-only, we would love to see her paired with another moderately playful pup who enjoys a balance of backyard zoomies and relaxed downtime. Megan is doing amazing with her training and daily routine. She walks beautifully on leash, settles nicely in her crate (she’ll happily go in for a treat and sleep through the night without a peep!), and even chooses to relax in her crate during the day with the door open. She’s house-savvy too, navigating stairs, a doggy door like a pro, and she is potty trained as well. Like many young dogs, she has a touch of playful mouthiness, but it’s very gentle and she responds immediately to redirection. She’s eager to please and truly just wants to make you happy. When she’s comfortable, Megan’s personality really shines. She loves to play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors, especially in cooler weather. This is a girl who truly thrives outside, whether she’s stretching her legs in the yard, going on long walks, or joining you for a little adventure. A home with a yard would make her especially happy, giving her space to roam, sniff, and soak up her surroundings. She’s also shown a fun, confident side when out and about with familiar people. On a recent outing, she explored the park, climbed up on playground equipment both on her own and when asked, and handled new experiences with growing confidence. While she may feel a little unsure at first in new situations, she quickly settles in and shows just how capable and brave she can be. Megan has spent time around children as young as four and showed a beautifully gentle, patient nature. While she handled the excitement of little ones well, we think she’d truly thrive in a home with slightly older kids who can match her softer spirit. Energy-wise, Megan has that wonderful “just right” balance. She enjoys leisurely neighborhood walks where she can take in all the sights and smells, and she’s just as happy curling up beside you afterward for some quality couch time. At the end of the day, Megan is simply a gentle, loving, well-rounded girl who is ready to find the people she can call her own.
