About Rune
Rune, whose name in Irish means intention, resolution, and love, lives up to all three. At just 8 months old, sheās a calm and gentle soul, weighing in at a petite 45 lbs. Her goofy side shines through those wildly expressive eyebrows, always letting you know exactly whatās on her mind. Runeās believed to be a Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix, with a soft, curly coat that needs only moderate brushing to manage her medium sheddingāespecially behind those fuzzy ears. Out at the dog park or wrestling with her canine foster brother, Rune is enthusiastic and social. She respects the resident cat and listens when boundaries are set, making her a good candidate for multi-pet homes. She hasnāt met children yet, but greets everyone with a friendly curiosity. Indoors, Rune prefers napping on the patio or snuggling with her people. Sheās quiet and doesnāt barkāa trait that makes for a peaceful home companion. Smart and food-motivated, Rune picks up on training quickly. She is kennel trained, house trained, and knows a growing set of commands, though sheās still improving her leash skills. A fully fenced yard is a requirement for adoption, along with a daily exercise plan and a pre-adoption meet and greet with all household members, both human and canine. Runeās spayed and fully vaccinated, and her soft spot for fruits and veggies will put a smile on your face when she crunches on apples or carrots. Rune is playful, easygoing, and ready for her forever home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
