Meet Fitzgerald! When Fitzgerald first came into our rescue, the smell hit us before he did! This sweet boy was blowing his entire winter coat from last year, and his right eye was so irritated he could barely open it. His first stop was a long, much-needed brushing and a good bath. Then it was straight to Siouxland animal Hospital to see Dr. Samuelson  for a neuter and corrective surgery for entropion. After wearing the dreaded cone of shame for 10 days, his stitches came out—and his eye looks absolutely amazing. What a transformation! We are guessing Fitzgerald to be a 3-year-old Husky mix. He is housebroken, great with dogs of all sizes, and despite acting like he had never set paw inside a home before, he adapted instantly. And yes… he really does have a purple tongue, but it only adds to his charm! Fitzgerald is now: • Neutered • Up-to-date on vaccinations • Microchipped • Fully healed from his eye surgery His adoption fee is $135. Although he has a calm, gentle demeanor, Fitzgerald still enjoys playing with other dogs and would love a home with a fenced in yard where he can stretch his legs and feel safe and loved.
