About Moose Tracks

This could be the start of something paw-some. Moose Tracks is a lovable, gentle giant in search of a caring forever home. As a Great Dane, he stands out not just for his size but also for his wonderful personality. At 6-7 years old and around 135 pounds, Moose Tracks is well past his puppy days but still enjoys playtime and leisurely strolls, showing off his playful spirit. He is fully housebroken and behaves beautifully outside of a crate—he has never gotten into trouble when left out and simply enjoys being around his people. Although his hips can get a bit sore, he takes joint supplements daily and manages his routine comfortably, but it's important for his adopters to take precautions with exercise and mealtimes given his breed's risk of GDV. Moose Tracks is excellent in the car, loving the feeling of his head out the window. He needs a bit of help getting into larger vehicles due to his hips. On leash, he's mostly well-mannered but can react and bark at other dogs; he's best handled by someone strong and experienced. While he loves his foster sisters and is dog friendly with proper introductions, he's not a match for homes with cats. He adores kids—he's had great experiences with children as young as two—always being mindful of his own impressive size. Moose Tracks thrives in loving company and would be happiest in a home where someone is often around or where he can have a canine companion. He enjoys soft toys, a cozy bed, and making friends everywhere he goes. With his goofy and affectionate nature, he will need a gentle adjustment period to settle in, but will give his heart completely to his new family. Surrendered through no fault of his own, he's ready for a second chance with an adopter who understands the joy of having a giant, devoted companion. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
