Hi! My name is Spider Web. Just in time for Halloween, I (and my sister Candy Corn) showed up on the property of a very nice couple. This couple took care of us until they could take us to a shelter. My life has changed drastically since moving into the shelter – I have food brought to me and no longer have to hunt or scrounge for it on a daily basis. There are also less things to fear such as predators and cars. However, I am still very unsure of my change in circumstances, surroundings, and all the new cats and people I have been exposed to. Don’t get me wrong – the people are great and giving me lots of time to come out of my (tortoise)shell. But I will need some time to adjust to this (and any) new environment. If you are patient with me, I promise to be a loyal and loving companion. I am not at all mean – just very shy and hesitant. I am starting to realize that when volunteers reach into my cage to pet me that it’s a good thing! Also, what I lack in bravery (for now), I make up for in beauty. Just take a look at my beautiful fur with white accents and see if you can resist! Please take a chance on me and let me “weave” my way into your home and heart.
