Meet Cruiser, a delightful three-year-old who just wants to find his forever home! 🐾 At just 14 lbs, he may be a small guy, but his heart is bursting with love to give! Cruiser’s journey has been a rollercoaster ride. He came to us in August 2023 after a terrible accident left him with a broken hip and a fractured leg. But don’t worry, he’s a fighter! 🦴 He’s had surgery and now has a shiny metal plate in his leg, making him even more unique (just like you!). Despite being a bit skittish around new people, Cruiser is learning to trust again. With a little time and lots of patience from a loving owner, he’ll open up and reveal his sweet personality. 💖 Time in a foster home has worked wonders, and he’s been busy learning the ropes of house training, crate training, and even leash walking! And guess what? He gets along just fine with cats and farm animals, including horses, chickens, goats, and sheep! What a gem! 🐶💚 The best part? Cruiser feels at ease when other dogs are around. He adores having small to medium-sized friends to help him read those puppy cues! The way to this boy's heart is through special treats – just ask about the time a volunteer tempted him with real bacon, and he happily let her give him a pat! 🥓❤️ When he’s not on a cozy futon in the living room, you can find him sneaking into the bedroom for treats or cuddling with a friend on a doggie bed. Cruiser is still figuring things out, and he’ll need a patient companion to support him on this journey.
