Nicolas is a 1-2 year old Terrier mix, likely with some Yorkie. He found himself at Beeville Animal Control after a Good Samaritan witnessed him being abused by unhoused person. Unfortunately this sweetie sat there for two weeks and nobody claimed him. Since they only have 5-6 kennels he would quickly lose his spot be euthanized for space, so our rescuer stepped in and saved him. Nicolas is very playful and just wants to play all the time. He does have an off switch when you put him in his kennel. He is submissive with other dogs. He has an affinity for squeaky toys, perhaps too much? This good boy is good on leash, potty trained (he was marking before his neuter), good with kids, and would make a great apartment dog. The only thing that makes him just below perfect, is he needs to be monitored outside or he will dig a hole to freedom! Nicolas is currently living in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas, awaiting an adopter or open foster home in Colorado to bring him up and into their home- the next transport arrives January 9th!
