About Wendy Come Meet!

Come meet Wendy at our open house on Monday, December 22nd from 3-5 pm! The event will be held at our shelter - 106 Adams Street, Medfield, MA 02052. Walk-in visitors are welcome, but dog selection priority is given to those with electronic applications on file and reserved visiting times. Please submit your application at this link: https://www.foreverhomerescue.org/about Wendy is a spunky boxer/lab mix who weighs about 50 pounds at almost 4 years of age (estimated). She is a loving girl who adores her people. She also enjoys going on daily walks, chewing her toys, and getting lots of pats. She is super cuddly once she is tired out and will be ready for some end-of-the-day couch snuggles. Wendy is unfortunately being returned to us from her first New England adopter because Wendy doesn't always get along with some of the other dogs in the adopter's life. Because of this, we are looking for a home where Wendy can be an only-dog, free to dote on her people. Wendy is house, leash and crate trained. She also rides nicely in a car. Wendy is very playful and will happily play fetch anytime, anywhere (especially if she can go swimming for a ball!). She has been working with a professional trainer for the past few months and is doing great with treat-driven, positive-reinforcement training. Wendy's trainer is very happy to chat with potential adopters, once their applications are approved. We would love to find Wendy an active family who will take this strong girl along on their outdoor adventures. Wendy has been around kids and does well with older kids. She sometimes gets excited and could knock little ones down so we think a home with teenagers or older would be best. If you can give Wendy her forever home, please submit an electronic application today at: https://www.foreverhomerescue.org/about Adoption fee: $250 (fee decreased as Wendy's current owner is sponsoring some of her re-homing and training costs) Adoption coordinator: Hannah Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. If you wish to adopt our dogs, please complete an online APPLICATION. You must first be approved by going through our application and screening process. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Forever Home Rescue makes all of the transportation arrangements. Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. Any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the South and will prefer to do their business outdoors. Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up.
