About Brian
Brian is a 4-year-old red bi Australian Shepherd mix who weighs 38 pounds and is currently fostered in Collegeville, PA. His early life was spent outdoors in a pen with minimal human interaction, so he's used to open spaces and still feels most comfortable outside. Brian is extremely submissive, and while he'll let you handle and groom him, he prefers to keep his distance if possible. Once caught, he settles in and is easy to work with. Leashes and collars can be overwhelming for him, so a patient approach with a harness has worked best, and he's been making slow progress getting comfortable on walks. Brian crates easily and sleeps through the night without issue. Inside the house, he tends to gravitate toward doors and windows, looking for a way outside, but with time and kindness, he'll likely adjust to life indoors. He does well with kids and gets along with other dogs. A secure yard without dense undergrowth is important, as he will seek places to hide. Brian needs someone patient and gentle who can guide him as he learns to trust people and enjoy home life. Click apply to start the adoption process.
