About Sioux

Sioux (pronounced "Sue") is a lively Lab/hound mix with plenty of personality. Born in late June 2022, she's now fully grown, weighing around 60 pounds. Sioux’s temperament runs sweet and goofy, and her playful nature is balanced by her affectionate side. Her sleek, short coat combines black, brown, and cream colors. She’s been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on all her vaccinations, as well as flea and heartworm prevention. Health-wise, she’s had clean fecal and heartworm tests. Crate training came naturally to Sioux—she handled her surgery recovery like a champ. Out on walks, she's curious and determined, sometimes choosing her own adventure on the leash, but she’s learning, and she’s reliably house trained. Her favorite treats include peanut butter, whether as a reward or just because she’s spoiled. Sioux’s at her best with room to roam; an ideal adopter will have a fenced yard for her to explore and entertain herself with zoomies. Sioux gets along well with other dogs, though she hasn’t interacted with young children or cats yet. Her brother Jackson is also available for adoption if you’re considering a ready-made duo.
