Love found me once, and I’m still believing it can find me again. I’m BeeBee, but most people call me Phoebe, and I’m a 4 year old, 30 pound Pit Bull Terrier mix with a big heart and an even bigger desire to belong. I’m happy, playful, smart, and full of love just waiting for the right person to return it. My past wasn’t kind—I sadly spent a lot of time in a cage and was abandoned—but I’m learning that the world can be gentle. Because of that, I need a patient family who will help me relearn my house manners while cheering me on as I succeed. I’m working hard on my house, crate, and leash training, and I already know my commands like sit, stay, and down. I love learning, especially when love and treats are involved! I get along well with most other dogs and did great with all the dogs in my foster home… though I’ll admit, I really don’t like one of my sisters. Because of that, I need to be fed separately. I’m also good with cats and kids, making me a wonderful family companion. A fenced yard is important for me so I can safely play, explore, and enjoy being a dog. More than anything, I’m looking for love—the kind that’s patient, kind, and forever. I want someone who will let me love them with my whole heart and remind me every day that I’m finally home.
