Marmalade Oh hello there. I'm Marmalade. And I'm learning how to be brave. Sadly, I came from a pretty bad hoarding case. For a long time, I didn’t get much space or comfort or kindness. Or really anything that a dog needs to thrive. :-( But every day, I’m discovering new things. Like how a soft hand feels, that treats are actually amazing & that humans are pretty ok afterall. I’m still a little shy. I might peek around a doorway before I walk through it & I might sit a few feet away from you while I decide if you’re one of the good ones. But once I know you’re ok? My tail starts doing a quiet little wag I can’t control & I become your dog shaped shadow. My perfect place is a home where: People speak softly Days are calm Routines feel safe And patience is on the menu I will need a secure fence until I trust you, but I am house & kennel trained & get along well with other doggos of all kinds. In fact, a confident dog friend would help me so much! My Mama Maria could be that dog...she's also up for adoption & she's my bestest friend! I promise I’m worth the time to get to know me. Because once my heart trusts you? I’ll be your quiet shadow, your soft snuggler & your most loyal friend. I may be made of shy glances and tentative steps right now… but with love, I'm already blossoming into something beautiful.
