Maria Poor, sweet Maria. This darling dog is the matriarch of our most recent hoarding case. While in our care, she's already gain 6 pounds! But with her skinny little ribbed body & her sad spirit, she still has a ways to go before she's truly healed up from her past trauma. Maria is quiet & shy & takes a moment to warm up to her full level of sweetness. She will most certainly need a home who understands abused dogs & has patience to give to let her fully blossom. She gets along great with all other dogs, is exceptionally loving & motherly & is already crate & doggie door trained. Although with her background of living mostly in a crate, we're sure she'd prefer to never see another one again! Maria is probably best in a home with no prey animals, as she has shown intermittent interest in chickens.
